As part of the Mayflower 400 commemoration we have been commissioned by Southampton City Council to create Towers of Light. Using Mayflower 400 themes, Towers of Light is a large-scale, light art engagement project that will take place in Weston Shore’s five identical tower blocks.

We have been working with artist Andy McKeown of Wild Strawberry to create this light experience that will celebrate the story of the Mayflower ship and mark the anniversary in an informative, appropriate and inclusive way. This project will place the story of the Mayflower ship within the wider story of Southampton’s role as the ‘Gateway to the World’.

This will be available to see at Weston Shore, International Way Southampton SO19 between 10-12 December 2020.
