Set Up E-mail on an iPhone
For iOS 9.1
Learn how to set up your Mail account on your iPhone, allowing you to send and receive e-mails wherever you go.
The images used in this guide reflect the iOS 9.1 operating system.
Step 1
Find and click Settings on your iDevice.
Step 2
Scroll down and select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Please note:
For iOS versions 10.3.4 and higher, select Accounts & Passwords.

Select Add Account…
Step 4
Scroll down and select Other.
Step 5
Select Add Mail Account.
Step 6
Enter the Name you wish to display to others when sending an E-mail, your full E-mail Address and the Password for the E-mail account. The description will mirror the E-mail Address by default, although you may change it.
Step 7
Tap the Next button.
Step 8
Ensure that IMAP is selected at the top and that the name, address and description have been carried over.
Scroll down and enter imap.1and1.co.uk in the Host Name field and your full E-mail Addressin the User Name field under the Incoming Mail Server section.
Step 9
Enter auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk without the quotes in the Host Name field and your full E-mail address in the User Name field under the Outgoing Mail Server section. Enter the Password for the E-mail account.
Step 10
Tap the Next button.
Step 11
Turn Mail syncing ON. Optionally, you may also turn on Notes syncing.
Step 12
Click Save to complete the setup of your 1&1 Mail Basic on your iPhone.
